HEAR COACH PADGETT TALK ABOUT THE BULLDOGS THIS SUMMERhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f1ABS1m2Mk

2019 ANALYSIS: It was an up-and-down season for the Bulldogs in 2018. Centerville couldn’t management more than two winning streaks of two games throughout the season and exited the tournament in the opening round with a loss to Indianapolis Scecina. The Bulldogs did finish third in the TEC and return several key players in 2019. Look for Centerville to run the football again this season after averaging 184 yards per game. The one thing they must do is get more points on the board averaging under 20 points per contest last season. Ryan Dickinson returns at quarterback, but Coach Padgett must find replacement for two talented running backs in Chris Pritchett and Dylan Benedict. All-State guard Collin Snyder returns upfront along with center Nigel Vance and Trent Neal. Centerville’s defense returns Snyder and Alec Runyon in the front seven along with All-State LB’s Drew Van Winkle and Noah Westover. The secondary will be solid with Mason Peed and Ryan Dickerson returning.

Like so many teams in the TEC,  Centerville is expected to compete for a conference championship when all is said and done. Playing consistent football throughout the season is the key. The Bulldogs open up at Lincoln August 23 and then will face another huge challenge at Hagerstown on August 30. Those first two games will give coach Padgett a really good idea of where his football team is early in the season.
