2023 OUTLOOK: Winning a third straight sectional title has given the Shamrocks the hopes for even more in 2023. Head Coach Jake Gilbert is heading into his 13th season and has several key players back from an 8-4 campaign last year. Question is, can they get by HSE? Defense may be the strength of the Shamrocks this season led by linebackers Lennox Williams and Mikeah Webster , senior defensive tackle and William Goodvine. Goodvine is headed to Miami (OH) next season. Coach Gilbert will also count on linebacker Anthony Feltrinelli , senior defensive backs Andrew Lieske and Jake Good and senior defensive end Coleton Vondersaar.
The biggest question on offense is who will take over for QB Cole Ballard. Ballard did everything for the Shamrocks on offense. In the mean time Coach Gilbert will rely on RB Kendall Garnett, WR Gabe Aramboles and senior tight end Max Nosler. Upfront expect a big season from OL Ryan Barker and Avery Huggins.
The schedule remains difficult with the opener against New Pal and with match-ups against HSE, Fishers and Brownsburg.
