RICHMOND, March 4. 2019 – It’s been 39 years since Richmond High School’s gymnastics team has advanced to the State meet.
Freshman phenom Lizzy Ruger will compete in all four events at the state meet. She placed 2nd overall (39.95). Ruger also placed 2nd on beam
(9.45), 3rd on vault (9.45) and 5th on bars (8.725).
Freshman teammate and powerhouse Kinsey Bosell will also compete in all four events at the state meet. She placed 5th on beam (8.825).
Other RHS state qualifiers for Richmond include senior Eva Bosell in the vault (8.925), bars (8.25), and on the beam (8.05); junior Kayla
Zaleski in the floor exercise (8.725); sophomore Katelyn Evans in the floor exercise (8.5); freshman Aubrey Uhte in the vault (8.725) and
beam (7.575) and freshman Ashley Madill on the bars (6.775).
RHS head coach Justine Coblentz-Boggs says “I am so proud of how hard this team has worked
and its accomplishments already this season. I cannot say enough how great this group of
students-athletes are. Their character, sportsmanship and strong sense of team is what has got
them this far this season!”
Richmond High School will send their seven finalists for the last competition of the season on
March 9 to Noblesville High School. The IHSAA State Finals tournament will begin with a
Grand March at 12:30 p.m. and competition starting at 1 p.m
