BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – Three members of Indiana’s seventh ranked recruiting class will represent Indiana in its annual all-star series against Kentucky this weekend.

It will be just the third time since 1989 that three IU signees will play in the game (1989, 2012).

Mr. Basketball Romeo Langford from New Albany, and All-State selections Damezi Anderson from South Bend Riley and Rob Phinisee from Lafayette McCutcheon are part of a 13-man squad which will battle Friday in Louisville and Saturday in Indianapolis. The trio will report to IU on Tuesday, June 12.

Langford was the fifth ranked recruit in the country and was a McDonald’s All-American. For his career, he averaged 28.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.1 steals, 2.9 assists, 2.2 blocks, and shot 56.0% from the field, 36.0% from three-point range and 79.0% from the line. He finished his career with 3,002 points, which ranks fourth all-time in Indiana boy’s high school basketball history.

Anderson was ranked 92nd in the country and scored 2,210 points in his career to set a new St. Joseph county and South Bend scoring record. He averaged 19.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.8 steals per game while helping South Bend Riley to a 26-1 record as a senior.

Phinisee was ranked as the No. 99 recruit in the country. He finished his career with 2,023 points and set a school record by winning 93 games over his four-year career.  As a senior, he averaged 29.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 3.7 steals.
