Union City hosted the Tri High Titans on Thursday afternoon for a TEC
Conference showdown. The Indians played solid defense on the night, and got
the bats going late to take the win, 7 to 5.

Union City rallied in the bottom of the 6th to take the lead, and held on
in the 7th to defeat Tri. "I'm proud of the way our defense looked
tonight," said Indians Coach, Bill Bradbury. "Our guys didn't commit any
errors tonight, and that keeps you in the game, and gives you an
opportunity to strike late."

The Indians offense was led by senior shortstop, Zach Bradbury. Bradbury
had 3 hits on the night, scored 1 run, and had 1 run batted in. Bradbury
also was lighting it up on the base paths, stealing 5 bases on the night.
Gabe Loesch, (Sr), Trevor Spence, (Sr), Jacob Fulk, (Sr), Cam Luster, (Jr),
and Jacob Curry, (Jr), all added a hit for UC. Loesch and Fulk each added 2
RBI's, while Spence added 3 stolen bases.

Loesch started on the hill for the Indians. Loesch looked strong on the
mound, but was pulled in the 2nd inning due to some tightness in his elbow.
Luster relieved Loesch and kept the Indians in the game on the hill. Nic
Wells, (So), picked up the win for the Indians, going 2 strong innings,
giving up only 1 hit. Spence came on in the 7th to shut the door on the
Titans, and picked up a save.

The Indians are now 1 - 0 in the conference, and travel to Winchester on
Friday in another conference contest.
