In a surprise move Friday, Matt Fisher stepped down as the Red Devils volleyball coach. Fisher had been the head coach for the past seven seasons and 10 years overall with the program.

In a statement exclusive to RADIOTROY.COM Coach Fisher said, “After 10 great years, seven as the head coach, it was time for someone else to lead this great group of girls. I will continue to instruct with Infinity Athletics Volleyball Club and continue to serve as the attendance liaison for RHS”.

Richmond finished 14 – 17 overall this past season and 3 – 2 in the NCC. The Red Devils went 22 – 10 and 5 – 0 in the 2017 season.

Coach Fisher put together five consecutive season’s of 20 plus wins from 2014-2018.

The search for a new head coach will start immediately.
