Peggy Carl has been named interim director of athletics at Earlham College. She previously served as director of athletics at Salem State University and Beloit College, and associate director of athletics at Occidental College. In addition to athletics administration, Carl spent more than 20 years mentoring swimmers and produced several All-America performers and an NCAA Division III champion. “Peggy has extensive experience in athletics administration and an affinity for excellent liberal arts colleges,” Earlham President Alan Price said. She replaces Mike Bergum, who has taken on a new role for the College as director of strategic projects. A national search for a permanent director of athletics will begin later this year.
