Buffalo is 5-1 against Miami in the last three seasons, including winning the last three in a row. The Bills could make it four straight wins over Miami for just the third time in franchise history and the first since 2006-2007.
The Bills are trying to go 2-0 for the second straight season. They haven’t won their first two games in consecutive seasons since 1991 to 1993, the final three seasons of their four-year Super Bowl losing streak.
Miami is trying to avoid consecutive 0-2 starts after a loss at New England on the opening weekend. The Dolphins have had only one streak of consecutive 0-2 starts in franchise history, doing so in four straight years from 2006 to 2009.
Josh Allen threw for 312 yards and ran for 57 in Buffalo’s week 1 win over the Jets. In doing so, he became the third Bills player to have 300 yards passing and 50 yards rushing in a single game (Rob Johnson — 2001, Tyrod Taylor — 2016).
Jerome Baker recorded 13 solo tackles for Miami against the Patriots in week 1. No player has made more solo tackles in a game in nearly two years, since Darius Leonard made 15 solo tackles for the Colts against Washington in week 2 of the 2018 season.
Buffalo had eight players with multiple receptions against the Jets in week 1, tying the franchise record for most players with 2 catches in a game. The Bills’ wide receiver corps had 23 receptions in week 1, second only to Atlanta’s group (27).
