Richmond’s girls bowling team won the Mid Indiana Sectional Saturday at Richmond 40

lanes.  Qualifying first with a 12 game score of 2,300.  Richmond downed 2nd

seeded Northeastern (1575) 358-249 to take the crown.  Both teams advance to the New

Castle Regional on January 19th.

Richmond’s boys team qualified 3rd (2,113).  RHS lost a close match to 2nd seed

Centerville (2130) 363-359 to finish third.  Centerville then lost to top seed New

Castle (2210) 359-339.  All three teams advance to the New Castle Regional.

Singles action saw a couple of local bowlers coming home with the hardware.

Richmond’s Haley Reece, the 3rd seed (568) took down teammate Ciara York, the top

seed (635)  190-172 to win her first sectional singles title.

Centerville’s Hunter Morgan, the top seed defeated 2nd seed Noah Niles of New Castle

207-184 to take home the trophy.
