The Richmond Girls Soccer team beat Jay County 7-5 behind 5 goals and an assist by Senior Nakala Bennett.  Bennett scored the goal to put the game out of reach with her fifth goal with 10:00 remaining.

The Devils had the game under control at half leading 4-1, allowing a PK from a handball.  Sophomore Molly Obrien had several good saves in the half and along with Aaliyah Porfidio-Brown and Hannah Trotter, shut down the Patriot offense.  Senior Riley Wetzel controlled the pace at midfield with a goal and 3 assists.
The Patriots made a strong run coming within a goal at 6-5 with 15 minutes remaining before Nakala Bennett put the game out of reach off an assist by Freshman Mallory Cook.
The Red Devils play again Thursday, 5:30 at Connersville.
