A change is coming to the Indiana Girls state finals. The IHSAA will play the tournament over two days at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27.
“We are very appreciative of our friends and partners with the Indiana Fever, Indiana Pacers and Bankers Life Fieldhouse, who always want to help provide a memorable experience for our girls basketball state finals,” IHSAA commissioner Paul Neidig said in a statement. “Given the pandemic, more time was needed in between games for the facility to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for the participants and spectators so a Friday evening game was suggested as the best way to accomplish that goal.”
The Friday game will tip off at 7 p.m. The Saturday games will tip at 11 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
