RICHMOND, Ind. - Imani Reese, a recent Pike High School (Ind.) graduate, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Indiana University East starting with the 2017-18 school year. Red Wolves coach Tiffani Selhorst announced the signing July 14. Reese was part of a Pike program that reached the Indiana Class 4A state championship game this past winter. Reese also helped the Red Devils to a 34-12 record over her sophomore and junior seasons. She did not take the court as a senior due to an injury, but was part of the roster and was front and center in the state finals program team photo. "We are excited to add Imani to our program," Selhorst said. "She has a few hurdles to overcome after her injury, but from what we've seen in the past from her, we know she is a great fit and will add to our basketball program!" Imani is the daughter of Elgin and Danielle Reese. "IU East showed the most interest in me," Reese wrote of her college choice. Reese joins Amanda Worland from Mooresville and Sybil Roseboro from Cleveland, Ohio, in IU East's 2017 women's basketball recruiting class. IU East is an NAIA Division II program. The Red Wolves went 29-6, won the River States Conference East Division and tournament titles, and reached the Sweet 16 at the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship this past season.
