SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The 14th-ranked Notre Dame baseball team is back in the postseason for the second-consecutive season and the 23rd time overall as they were selected as the No. 2 seed in the Statesboro Regional. This is the first time since 2005-06, back when the Irish were in the BIG EAST, that the Irish have earned consecutive postseason berths.

The Irish (35-14) are joined in the regional by No. 16 national seed and host Georgia Southern (40-18) from the Sun Belt Conference, Texas Tech (37-20) from the Big 12 Conference and UNC Greensboro (34-28) from the Southern Conference.

The Irish will open the regional against Texas Tech on Friday at 2 p.m. ET from J.I. Clements Stadium in Statesboro. The game will be aired nationally on the ACC Network.
