CARMEL, Ind. – With the 2021-22 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) men’s basketball season set to tip-off, in a vote amongst league coaches, Anderson University and Hanover College finished in a tie for the first-place slot in the preseason poll.
 
Anderson and Hanover each earned 81 points, while the Ravens picked up four first-place nods and the Panthers nabbed one. In the very close race, Transylvania University finished third with 78 points and two first-place votes. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology was picked to finish fourth, also garnering two first-place picks. Defending 2021 HCAC Tournament Champions Franklin College rounded out the top five with 67 points and one first-place nod.
